Fijians affected by Cyclone Gabrielle in New Zealand will soon get help from Fijian communities in Wellington.

From New Zealand the Fiji Association Wellington vice president, Prem Singh, said he had yet to reach a substantial number of affected Fijians.

He said by next week he would be making a personal trip to the Napier and Hasting area of New Zealand, places that were severely affected by the cyclone.

On February 12, a storm made landfall in the top part of the North Island.

It then moved eastward, wreaking havoc along the east coast.
