High Court Drops Ratu Inoke’s Case
Ratu Inoke pleaded guilty to the charges of inciting mutiny and one count of aiding soldiers in an Act of Mutiny in 2004.

The High Court in Suva has decided to drop a case filed by Naitasiri paramount chief Ratu Inoke Takiveikata.
The Legal Aid Commission had filed a Notice of Discontinuance on January 11 presiding to drop the miscellaneous actions filed against the Fiji Corrections Service and the Attorney-General of Fiji.
Ratu Inoke had applied for Habeas Corpus Ad Subjueciendum which sought legal actions against his unlawful confinement at the Nasinu Corrections Service after his full sentence was served.

He was sentenced to a non-parole period of eight years and was to be released from prison after March 4, 2019, on a licence which subjected him to continuing his serving, should he breach his condition of release.
Ratu Inoke was also charged with conspiracy to murder and was found guilty in 2008.
He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by the High Court in Suva.
