High risk businesses in Labasa will remain closed despite the change of curfew hours.
Namara Tiri Squatter Settlement in Labasa will enter its 14th day of lockdown today.
Ministry of Health and Medical Services Permanent Secretary Dr James Fong said the threat of a COVID-19 outbreak was still there.

Dr Fong said the bigger challenge for the Northern Division was the 3000 plus persons who wished to return to their homes.
“We have to sort out a safe process for this and irrespective of hoW much we put in, the support from the community is vital,” Dr Fong said.
“The medical team is increasing their outbreak readiness plan while we are also working on increasing our quarantine capacity to support the north repatriation.”
He explained that the medical team that went on deployment to Viti Levu were in the process of returning to the North.
“We need to sort out the above priority first before thinking about shifting the curfew hours and reopening of high-risk business,” he reiterated.
There were 50 medical professionals that went on deployment for a maximum period of four months.
