‘I Agree With Unions’

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro broke his silence on the Perma­nent Secretary of Education saga on Friday.

He agreed with teacher unions in Fiji that the ministry needed someone in the position who has been at leadership level in the ministry.

The issue of the appointment of Selina Kuruleca to the perma­nent secretary role was under the spotlight when the Fiji Teachers Union and the Fijian Teachers Association wrote to the minister expressing their concerns on the appointment.

In a press conference Mr Radrodro said the ministry need­ed someone with vast experience and institutional knowledge of such a complex and demanding ministry.
