Bhawani Dayal Arya College yesterday badged 108 students as prefects for 2018 at the school premises.
Rishen Anish Chand and Nivashna Kamlesh were badged as the headboy and headgirl of the School.
Rishen, 18, of Suva said that his role as the headboy is to motivate the prefects and to maintain discipline in the school.

He was the assistant headboy in 2016 and in 2017 he was a school prefect and now he is the headboy.
“I feel excited and nervous at the same time for the challenges that I am going to face as the headboy of the school,” Rishen said.
Nivashna, 17, of Suva said that she wants to be an example for the students as a better leader for the school.
She was the first in the family to receive the headgirl’s badge.
“I was badged as the assistant headgirl in 2016, deputy headgirl in 2017 and now I am the headgirl of the school,” Nivashna said.
She felt excited and delighted after receiving the badge.
The school has a roll of 868 students and has 49 teachers.
