Iliave, 19, Graduates Alongside Dad

Iliave was excited to graduate with a Certificate in Deck­hand Fishing from the Fiji National University’s (FNU) Fiji Maritime Academy on Friday.

It was even more special given that he graduated alongside his father, 50-year-old Metuisela Ko­roi from Lami Village, Lami.

“I am excited to be with my fa­ther,” the 19-year-old said about how it felt completing the same course as his father, who is a Crew Relations Officer.

“I’m the only boy in my family. I have four sisters. I just followed my father’s footsteps.”

Mr Rokodrawe intends to con­tinue his schooling post-gradu­ation so he can become the cap­tain of a boat someday.
