‘I’m Rabuka’s man’: Vosarogo backs PM ahead of election
Mr Vosarogo said voters were capable of distinguishing between issues caused by international economic conditions and those within the control of local governments.

People’s Alliance Party (PAP) candidate Filimoni Vosarogo has expressed confidence in his party’s prospects for the next General Election and reaffirmed his loyalty to Prime Minister and party leader Sitiveni Rabuka.
Speaking on the political climate and the economic challenges facing Fiji and the wider world, Mr Vosarogo made his position clear.
“I’m Rabuka’s man," he said.

Mr Vosarogo said rising fuel prices were likely to become a political issue in the lead-up to the election, but urged Fijians to consider the impact of global events rather than local political rhetoric.
He said ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the resulting damage to critical infrastructure would continue to affect global fuel markets long after the fighting ends.
"The war may end next week or next month; beyond that you will need to have a solid 12 to 18 months for the infrastructure in the Middle East to repair, and so these price hikes might be here for a long while.”
Mr Vosarogo said voters were capable of distinguishing between issues caused by international economic conditions and those within the control of local governments.
