In Or Out?

The Privileges Committee will vote today to decide the fate of the Leader of Opposition, Voreqe Bainimarama.

It would hand over its decision to the Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

After a three-and-a-half-hour deliberation yesterday, committee chair, Lenora Qereqeretabua, remained tightlipped on the details however, said healthy discussions set the tone for the meeting.

Mr Bainimarama came under fire on Monday when Ratu Naiqama referred him to the committee after Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, notified him of a possible breach of parliamentary privileges.
