A concerned parent has called on relevant authorities to monitor amusement business operations, especially during carnivals in Fiji.
Jiten Prasad took his five-year-old daughter Jeenas Prasad to play on a bouncy castle at Digicel Duavata Northern Crime Prevention Carnival in Subrail Park, Labasa on Monday.
It was around 8pm when his daughter wanted to play on the bouncy castle.

“So I paid the gate conductor $5. After a few minutes we couldn’t find our daughter and asked the staff to look for her,” Mr Prasad said.
“One staff member carried her out from the castle and asked around for her parents. We had to quickly attend to my daughter.”
The 35-year-old father of Batinikama, said his daughter was in tears telling them that she had pain on her right thigh.
