Work on installing the new CT scan machine at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital has begun.
Work on installing the new CT (computed tomography) Scan Machine at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital has begun. The hospital’s only machine has been out of order since last year.
The new one is expected to be up and running soon, a significant step forward for Fiji’s healthcare services.
This was made possible through a COVID-19 grant from the government of Japan, the ministry stated yesterday.

Assistant Minister for Health Penioni Ravunawa said the decommissioning of the old CT scan machine has been completed and the room preparedness was in progress for new installation which started yesterday.
The Fiji Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Services engineering team had offloaded the new CT Scan Machine at CWM Hospital last Sunday. The ministry thanked members of the public for understanding and having the patience.
