Investigation Underway For Remand Prisoner Pronounced Dead At Lautoka Hospital

An investigation is underway regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of a remand prisoner in Lautoka.

The victim who was in remand yesterday morning at the Natabua Corrections Center said he was not feeling well and was taken to the Lautoka Hospital.

Upon arrival at the Hospital he was pronounced dead by Health officials.

A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain cause of death as investigations continue.
