In Suva, many people from the Lau Group were seen boarding the Princess Moana on Monday, bound for their villages to spend their Christmas and New Year holidays.

Maritime islanders who live and work in the urban areas are now making their way to their respective villages.

In Suva, many people from the Lau Group were seen boarding the Princess Moana on Monday, bound for their villages to spend their Christmas and New Year holidays.

Ogea villager Soko Vakacegu told Island Beat that she had not been to her home island for the past 19 years.
