Jack’s of Fiji yesterday handed over a $6000 cheque to support the Walk on Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids foundation.
Jack’s of Fiji regional manager central Madan Krishna said: “This year is about putting a smile on the children’s faces to help ease the load of parents on the treatment of their children especially in the midst of the pandemic and now that we are in the festive season.
“We want to keep the Christmas spirit alive. This is the first time we have done it and hopefully it will not be the last.

“I am hopeful that we will continue to support the kids in the years to come.”
WOWS Kids Fiji team leader Mere Williams, in receiving the donation, said the foundation was grateful that even during the pandemic, corporate organisations were still going out of their way to support them.
“We have 72 children altogether and in just the past few months we have recorded at least four new cases that we have brought under our care,” Ms Williams said.
“These type of financial assistance is what keeps us going, paying for the transport for our children to be checked in the hospital, supporting them with food rations while being admitted and in the many other ways we continue to assist our patients and their carer,” she said.
