JP’s to receive $100 allowance

For the first time, the Justice of the Peace (JP) are not been forgotten, especially after the Government announced a first ever $1,000,000 for their allowance.

During the 2025-2026 Budget address on Friday, Minister for Finance, Biman Prasad acknowledged their service of providing essential public service in our communities.

The allocation will allow every JP a monthly allowance of $100.

As of now, there are more than 700 practising JPs across the country with 30 just sworn in on April 21.
