K9 Units Deployed To Monitor Unnecessary Movement Within Suva Lockdown
The K9 Unit will be covering most of the well known shortcuts and side roads and will arrest anyone found breaching the curfew hours.

K9 Qiwi, K9 Que, and K9 Quiz were deployed last night with their handlers PC Jasa Kadivuka, PC Valevatu Rabuku and PC Niumaia Draunimasi to assist with the monitoring of unnecessary movement within the Suva lockdown areas as information has been received about movement of people within residential and semi-urban areas.
Despite repeated warnings about the nation wide curfew that comes into Force every night from 8pm to 5am, there is still reports coming in of people moving around using side roads to get around.

The earlier restriction of movement enforced by officers around the Division should not be interpreted as a 24hour curfew, as the ONLY curfew in place is the 8pm to 5am curfew announced by the Prime Minister.
