Kadavu Farmer In Police Custody For Alleged Death Of Pregnant Partner

A 28-year-old farmer from Kadavu remains in Police custody following the death of his 23-year-old partner on Friday afternoon.

The suspect who was allegedly intoxicated during the incident assaulted his pregnant partner at a home in Nasese.

The victim was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The post mortem is being conducted today as investigations continue.
