Kadavu Man Granted Bail

A Kadavu man has pleaded not guilty to one count of un­lawful cultivation of illicit drugs.

Apisai Lomani Junior is alleged to have cultivated 23 plants of marijuana in Kadavu weighing at 10.5 kilograms.

Lomani faces an additional charge which caused the death of Filipe Loloma in Wailialia farm in Kadavu on December 26, 2018.

He appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili yester­day.

Representing the accused was Barbara Malimali.

The case has been transferred to March 29.

Lomani was granted bail.
