Katamotu Out To ‘Serve The People Of Fiji’

He has been sentenced to 36 months imprisonment where 10 months has been suspended for five years.

Member of Parliament Maciu Katamotu has dedicated his seat to his chief, Tui Namosi Ratu Suliano Matanitobua.

Ratu Suliano is serving 26 months in prison for falsely stating his place of residence as Namosi Village, Namosi and obtaining $38,378.22 as parliamentary allowances. He has been sentenced to 36 months imprisonment where 10 months has been suspended for five years.

Mr Katamotu was chosen to replace Ratu Suliano after he resigned from his political career.
