Kenneth Tafunai was diagnosed with ventricular septal defect when he was only nine-months-old.
He was then referred to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital for a check-up, but doctors advised the parents that surgery was not possible until his heart matured enough.
His parents thought that was the end of the road for them until December last year when a doctor at the CWMH referred him to the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeeva Children’s Hospital in Nasese.
