‘King Khan’s’ properties searched, expected to front court today

Imran Khan, also known as King Khan, remains in Police custody and is expected to be produced in court today on a charge of contravention of restraining order.
Khan, who is allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade, was arrested over the weekend in Suva.
Police investigators, K9 unit, and themilitary were seen at his property in Nasinu yesterday conducting a search.

His families’ properties were believed to also have been searched.
Khan’s assets were believed to have been seized as alleged proceeds of crime.
He came under the military and police joint operations radar last week following reported attempted break-ins at military facilities in Lautoka and Suva.
He was locked up at the Totogo Police Station and was interrogated during his arrest.
Yesterday, he was taken to the Criminal Investigation Department headquarters for further questioning.
Khan, who resides in the Nasinu area, is believed to operate a business.
He remains under investigation for his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
