KPMG Fiji has donated AUD $5000 to two local shelters, supporting organisations that assist vulnerable families and individuals.

“These donations are part of our commitment to deliver timely and meaningful social impact where it is needed most,” KPMG Managing Partner Sharvek Naidu said.

“The funds were used to address immediate needs across multiple centres.”

The donation to The Salvation Army Lautoka Family Care Centre was presented in March by Mr Naidu and Naomi Mitchell, Head of Mid-Market and Private at KPMG Australia.

A spokesperson for the organisation said the funds were used to purchase groceries to meet immediate needs, with a portion also allocated to support the Kauwai Boys in Raiwai, Suva.

Homes of Hope Fiji said its share of the donation was used to support both nutrition and living conditions for residents.

“This dual focus reflects our commitment to holistic care addressing both physical sustenance and emotional well being,” a spokesperson said.

The Salvation Army Family Care Centres in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa provide safe shelter, support and rehabilitation services for women and families affected by domestic violence, homelessness and human trafficking.

Homes of Hope Fiji works with girls and young women affected by sexual exploitation and abuse, offering support programmes aimed at recovery and long-term empowerment.
