Labasa flights temporarily halted due to Airport fire truck issue

All flights to Labasa Airport this morning have been cancelled due to operational issues, aviation authorities confirmed.

This was confirmed through a Facebook post on Fiji Airports page this morning.

The disruption stems from a breakdown of the airport’s fire truck, which is a critical component of airport safety operations.

Under aviation safety regulations, no flights can land or depart without adequate fire cover in place, the statement said

Technicians are currently working to restore the fire truck to full working order.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue.”
