Lagilagi, Elenoa Aim to Guide, Advise Students

Lagilagi Tove and Elenoa Rasovo say their main role is to help teachers guide students to do the right thing.
They made the comment after being badged yesterday as head boy and head girl for Sigatoka District School for 2019.
“I want to thank God for giving me the strength and I know he has already planned that I would be chosen as the head boy of the school,” Lagilagi said.

“I thank my teachers and students for trusting me in giving me this responsibility. My parents have been supportive, especially my dad as the head teacher of the school. He has been guiding me along the way.
“This year I will ensure that students listen to their teachers and help them do the right thing.”
The Year 8 student plans to follow his three brothers in attending Marist Brothers High School in Suva next year.
Head girl Elenoa said she felt proud to appointed to the role.
“I will try my best to help the teachers in controlling the student’s behaviour and help them do the right thing,” she said.
A total of 56 class captains, house prefects, environment officers and head prefects were inducted at Sigatoka District School.
The chief guest at the prefect Induction ceremony was the Divisional Forestry Officer West, Uraia Racule.
Meanwhile, the school’s deputy head boy is Ilaisa Kurimavoa while the deputy head girl is Adi Ela Volavola.
