The late Year 8 Nausori Primary School student Makereta Miriama Mataika was described by her teacher Pauline Gucake as a very caring, responsible and happy student.
On her last day at school, when they celebrated World Teachers Day, Children’s Day and Fiji Day, she was involved in most of the events.
Before she left school on that day, her classroom blackboard had the words ‘Happy Teachers Day, Happy Children’s Day and Fiji Day to you all,” written. Her last message – “Enjoy your day tomorrow.”
