Lautoka Family Loses Home In Fire

NFA chief executive officer Puamau Sowane confirmed this after the fire started in the early hours yesterday.

The National Fire Authority (NFA) is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a two-bedroom home at Saru, Lautoka, yesterday.

NFA Chief Executive Officer Puamau Sowane confirmed this after the fire started in the early hours yesterday. Home owner Daniel Muneef, 41, a businessman and vegetable farmer, claimed the seven-month-old home was in its final stages of completion.

He said he resided in the home with his wife, Jyotika Devi, 40 and their five children, Muzamil Ali, 16, Shabrina Nisha, 15, Sagufa Nisha, 13, Shanaya Nisha, 8, and Ziki Muneef, 3.
