If women contribute to economic development why can’t we have them in the running of municipal council?
This was a question posed by the Nadi special administrator Lawrence Kumar during the Ministry of Local Government public consultation at Civic Centre in Nadi on Tuesday.
Majority of participants during the consultation were women.

Mr Kumar proposed for 45 to 50 per cent of women to be part of the municipal council.
