Lawyer, Rajiv Pathak Creates History For Family

His advice to young people is to: “Never let anything hinder your dreams.”

Rajiv Pathak’s dream to become a lawyer began after he watched the American legal drama television series- Suits.

The 25-year-old was admitted to the bar last Friday with his fellow classmates from the University of Fiji.

The former student of Central College in Lautoka is the first lawyer in his family.

“I know I have made my parents proud,” Mr Pathak said.

“When I joined law, it was a learning opportunity for me, and I learned a lot.

“I was able to study law with TELS and I am grateful to be given such an opportunity.”

Mr Pathak thanked his parents for their continuous support.

“I would like to dedicate this achievement to my mother who has been a pillar of strength for me,” he said.

“My short-term goal is to get a job and make a name for myself and my long-term goal is to have a private firm.”

His advice to young people is to: “Never let anything hinder your dreams.”
