Lawyer Stands By Couples Claims, Police Clarifies To Set Record Right

Lautoka lawyer Iqbal Khan stands by statements made by his clients Salindra Singh and Radhika Mala that they were kept in police custody overnight with their five-year-old son.

This was at the Tavua Police Station two weeks ago.

Mr Khan was responding to a statement released by the Police on Wednesday refuting claims made by the couple in a Fiji Times article published on April 18 headlined “Boy sleeps in cell”.

He said he received the statement from the couple on Monday detailing the incident.
