Lawyers Given Time To File Written Submissions

The High Court in Lautoka has given defence lawyer Nimita Sharma and state lawyer Shreta Prakash until next month to file their written submissions in the case of murder accused Samisoni Vurumatana.

Vurumatana, 36, a farmer of Settlement in Nalawa, Ra is alleged to have murdered a 28-year-old man whose body was discovered on the afternoon of January 31, 2022 at the same settlement. The matter was heard before Justice Sunil Sharma on Tuesday.

Ms Sharma said the supplementary bail affidavit had been filed and served to the state and that the matter was for the state’s response.
