While we live in a multi-racial and multi-cultural country, it is important that children, apart from being in school, learn about each other’s culture and tradition.
Those were the words of Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North president, Rajneel Maharaj, to the 70 graduates of Labasa Multicultural Centre last Saturday.
While speaking as chief guest, he thanked the parents for taking out their time every weekend to allow their children to attend Bal Vikash, learn how to use Tabla and Harmonium and meke, the traditional iTaukei dance.
