Leptospirosis Cases On The Rise In North

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has been kept busy treating a growing number of people suffering from Leptospirosis.

It is also advising the public, especially in the Northern Division, to adhere to public health measures.

From January 1 to February 26, 2023, there were 171 cases recorded in the division.

Within a span of one week from February 27 to March 5, 2023, 50 more cases were detected.

From March 5 to 31, another 20 cases were confirmed.
