Human Rights Lawyer Sabrina Iqbal Khan says in the world that we live in today we must continue to empower and uplift each other.
Ms Khan had organised a letter writing vigil in Lautoka earlier this week, dedicated to the victims and families of victims, who lost their lives in the deadly Sri Lanka bombing. Previously to this, Ms Khan also organised a similar vigil for the 50 victims who lost their lives in the Christchurch terrorist attacks.
“I host a letter writing for kindness session every month where I and people who turn up, write letters to people around the world in need of kindness and encouragement,” she said.

“These include people who suffer mental health, trauma, struggles and challenges. Writing to the Sri Lankan Churches was included in this session.
“In February we wrote to the Christchurch Mosques and their congregation to send our peace and love. We had to do the same for the Sri Lankan Churches too.”
Ms Khan said we must show love to whoever might be involved in such a circumstance regardless of their race and religion.
“As heartbreaking as it is to see this unfold and in recognising that these are signs which herald the coming of Jesus, we must place love into these circumstances,” she said.
“We cannot reiterate. We must uplift, empower and strengthen each other.”
She sends her condolences to the families and the people of Sri Lanka.
