Levuka New Market Brings More Opportunities
The market will cater for communities of Ovalau, Moturiki and the Lomaiviti Group.

Levuka Town now sets a new precedence for the people of Ovalau Island and the Lomaiviti Group because of its new municipal market.
It was opened last Friday by the Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa.
The market will cater for communities of Ovalau, Moturiki and the Lomaiviti Group.

"We thank all stakeholders who contributed to the construction of the new Levuka Market," Mr Nalumisa said.
"It's a market, busy with a lot of people and will generate income for market vendors."
The ministry handed-over a nineton truck to help vendors in fish delivery and other services in town.
"Government has contributed $180,000 for its (truck) purchase. Make this market and take ownership of it. You have one of the best markets around Fiji. Take pride in your town, support one another and embrace opportunities that this new facility will ring."
