Lomanikoro to Vutia Road Construction to Begin Soon

Minister for Public Works, Transport, and Meteorological Services, Ro Filipe Tuisawau, has assured the Rewa Provincial Council that construction of the Lomanikoro to Vutia road will commence soon.

Road construction project in planning stages

During the opening of the meeting held at Novotel Suva Lami Bay Hotel yesterday, Ro Filipe said the project was currently in its technical and engineering planning stages.

“Once the preparatory work is completed, funding will be allocated, and the project will be put out for tender.

“I have urged swift action to ensure timely completion,” Ro Filipe said.

“There are still some steps remaining before the plans can be fully implemented.”

The road will connect Lomanikoro Village in Rewa to Vutia.

It is understood that the request for this road was originally made 30 years ago.
