An experienced boat builder is urging all boat owners and boat captains to take good care of their vessels.

Boat builder, Amena Rakuro, 55, who was formerly employed at the Fibreglass Shop in Wailada, Lami, has been building fibreglass boats for the past 30 years.

Fibreglass Shop was established in 1985. It manufactures boats and sailing vessels for personal, commercial and recreation including fibreglass outrigger canoes, fibreglass street canopies, floating structures and docks. One of its notable products include Fiji’s first 6-man outrigger canoe Siri na Saku.
