Ms Nadagalu, 19, was sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu. She is originally from Tavua Village and was brought up by relatives after her father left her mother.

Only love can drive out hatred and darkness was Tokasa Nadagalu’s message when she was crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at the Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night.

Ms Nadagalu, 19, was sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu. She is originally from Tavua Village and was brought up by relatives after her father left her mother.

Her mother died when she was 14.

“Never Give Up,” she told her peers on the night of her crowning.

The emotional queen said it was through God that she was able to achieve the crown.

She quoted the late Mother Theresa, after her crowning saying, “Only love can drive out darkness and hatred.”

She acknowledged major sponsor Vodafone Fiji and her sponsor the Tavualevu community with the support of Krishna Goundar.
