Lui Naisara has been appointed as the new Chairman of Fiji’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) Board, bringing over 30 years of experience in civil service, particularly in transport, energy, and policy development.

Minister responsible for LTA, Ro Filipe Tuisawau, said: “The Land Transport Authority plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of all road users in Fiji. Mr Naisara’s vast experience and strong vision will be instrumental in guiding the LTA Board and the Authority as a whole to deliver on its mission of keeping Fijians safe on our roads.”

Mr Naisara has held several senior government positions, including Deputy Secretary responsible for Transport and Energy at both the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, and the Ministry of Works, Transport and Energy.

“His appointment reflects not only his proven leadership but also his deep understanding of the transport sector’s challenges and opportunities. We are confident that under Mr. Naisara’s chairmanship, the LTA will continue to evolve as a modern, responsive, and people-centred institution," Minister Tuisawau added.

Mr Naisara holds a Master in Transport Management from the University of Sydney’s Institute of Transport and Logistics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the South Pacific.
