Man arrested for trying to bribe Police officer with $200

A subsequent search of the man reportedly uncovered dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A 41-year-old man is in custody after he allegedly attempted to bribe a police officer during a joint operation with the Land Transport Authority along the Queens Road near Koromumu on Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect, a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a routine check, allegedly offered $200 to the officer to release the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the man reportedly uncovered dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

The suspect was arrested, and the seized substances have been sent for analysis. Investigations are continuing.
