Man found dead near Navuso identified

The identity of a man found floating near Navuso has been confirmed by relatives.

He was last seen on Friday night at the old Rewa Bridge. A missing person report was lodged after he failed to return home.

Police Mobile Force officers and the Water Police Unit were deployed to assist in the search, which proved unsuccessful until the body was discovered yesterday morning.

The body has been taken to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital mortuary. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
