Man Fronts High Court for Sexual Assault of Stepdaughter
It was alleged that around the end of 2023, in Nabua, Dau slapped his stepdaughter who is a special needs child after she refused to eat, burnt her legs with Fijian tobacco and sexually assaulted her.

Resident Magistrate Yogesh Prasad has transferred the case of Iowane Tikiko Dau, who sexually assaulted and wounded his 3-year-old stepdaughter to the High Court in Suva yesterday.
The 25-year-old stepfather appeared at the Navua Magistrate's court with one count each of rape and unlawful wounding.
It was alleged that around the end of 2023, in Nabua, Dau slapped his stepdaughter who is a special needs child after she refused to eat, burnt her legs with Fijian tobacco and sexually assaulted her.

He will make his first appearance at the High Court in Suva on March 1.
Until then, Dau will remain in remand.
