Man Offers $1K Challenges Fijians To Clean Their Neighbourhoods
The challenge would encourage people to clean up their Yasas, the iTaukei word for hood, by offering the “cleanest Yasa” a thousand dollars.

Late Monday night Frank Hamagushi, managing director of Silverwaters Fibreglass Fiji, posted on Facebook stating he would sponsor a new challenge called “My Yasa vs Yours.”
The challenge would encourage people to clean up their Yasas, the iTaukei word for hood, by offering the “cleanest Yasa” a thousand dollars.
“You don’t belong to your Yasa if you can’t keep it clean,” wrote Mr Hamagushi on Facebook.

The challenge was met positively by others on Facebook, with many responding with their support and interest.
When asked if the challenge was legitimate, Mr Hamagushi responded on Facebook “Sure is.... I will announce it when it officially starts though.”
Mr Hamagushi did not respond to the Fiji Sun’s attempts to contact him.
