A Labasa man has sought the assistance of the Legal Aid Commission after he was charged with theft. Deo Chand appeared before Magistrate Seinileba Levaci at the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday. The prosecutor told the court that the complainant and the accused were living in the same area and there was a high risk of Chand interfering with the witness. Chand was denied bail.
He was remanded until his next hearing on March 6, 2018.
