More than $24,000 was raised at the Marist Old Boys Association (MOBA) annual bazaar in Nadi last Saturday.

The fundraiser, which was held at the Mount Saint Mary’s School grounds, brought together hundreds of former scholars of the renowned Flagstaff-based all boys Suva school.

It also saw the former students around the country enter a unique bonding session after two years following the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The members also represented their school teams – Augustine House, Alphonsus House, Claudius House and Lambert House.

MOBA committee member and Claudius House representative, Suliano Koroi Nasau said the bazaar was to also continue supporting the school.

“This also contributes to all our future projects that are coming in and for the development of MOBA and to assist the school,” Mr Nasau said.

“Now since COVID has died down a little, we are trying to catch up on everything we missed out on in the last two years.”

He said the funds raised from the bazaar would go towards catering for Marist Old Boys Association.
