Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) is under the spotlight for its services provided to the Lau Group.
Minister for Agriculture Vatimi Rayalu challenged the telecommunication giant to improve its service, and be done with ‘cheap’ packages.
This as people of Matuku Island raised serious concern regarding poor connectivity during a talanoa session at Yaroi Village on Friday.

Mr Rayalu is on his first official tour of the Lau Group since he took office.
“We have been treated like this for so many years,” he told two TFL representatives.
“Come with complete and quality package. Don’t come just to sell something to make money.”
The company provides landline and Wi-Fi services to most parts of the island.
These are through the range of Telecom saturation threshold voltages (VTSAT) services, which offers voice calls and internet service across rural communities.
The Wi-Fi goes off during heavy rain and strong sunlight, said Lomaji Village headman Ilaitia Cama.
“We have been experiencing this issue for a very long time,” he said.
“We need an explanation.”
Mr Rayalu told the two representatives to pass on the message to their executives.
“Put something that works. Tell your boss. If he doesn’t like it, tell him to come and see me.”
TFL business relation manager Desmond Nand said some services (VTSAT) were fixed during the trip.
