We have a mission and that is to get those that are planting marijuana to get closer to God and stop cultivating it.

This was what the president of the Methodist Church of Fiji said at Nakoronawa Village in Nakasaleka, Kadavu on Saturday.

Reverend Ili Vunisuwai said: “Some of those listening are planting marijuana, you should know that you are still surrounded by the love of God.

“Listen to me, those that are standing outside and planting marijuana I wish that you know that you are destroying other’s lives.

“I wish that you know that God’s love can change your mindset.

“Our soul is built from our belief, our belief is built from what we see, and our behavior is the tale of where we come from.

“I hope that those who are listening will stop and come back to God because God will never forsake his children, but the choice is yours.

“Make the choice now before it is too late. Be the change Nakaseleka needs because your action will determine how your village or district is seen by others.”
