Minister Akbar Tours New Building Site At Queen Victoria School
The project is funded by the Fijian Government.

The Minister of Education, Heritage and Arts, Rosy Akbar, made a visit to Queen Victoria School (QVS) on Thursday to see the progress of work done on the new buildings.
Ms Akbar said QVS now has a newly-built three storey building which has a gym at the ground floor, classrooms and a staff room on level two and, additional classrooms and a teacher prep room on the third floor.
“This QVS project is looked after by the Construction Implementation Unit from the Ministry of Economy,” she said.

She also said this project was part of the school scheme after Tropical Cyclone Winston.
“This project is funded by the Fijian Government,” Ms Akbar said.
She said QVS was devastated by TC Winston and it took four years to rebuild.
“It will be ready when school reopens on 30th June.”
