The Ministry of Public Works, Meteorological Services and Transport, has cleared its backlog of annual reports, prompting an improvement in its record keeping and internal systems.

Minister Ro Filipe Tuisawau said the clearing of the reports positions the Ministry on a stronger footing to meet future reporting deadlines and sustain improved governance standards.

"The completion of these reports enables the Ministry to clearly account for its programmes, projects and expenditures, while providing Parliament and the public with a consolidated record of its work over multiple financial years," Mr Tuisawau said.

"The reports have been prepared in line with requirements set by the Parliament of Fiji and will be subjected to audit review by the Office of the Auditor-General, reinforcing the integrity of the reporting process.

"Beyond compliance, the exercise has strengthened internal systems within the Ministry, improving record-keeping, coordination across departments, and alignment between annual work plans, budgets and reported outcomes."

The completed annual reports are scheduled to be tabled before Cabinet and Parliament next month.
