Ministry Launches $40,000 Vacoko Poultry Project

The Ministry of Youth and Sports launched its groundbreaking ceremony for the Poultry Project at Vacoko in Naboro.

Minister Parveen Bala said it was much more than just a project for the members of the Holy Spiritual Congregation Youth Club as their families and hundreds of men, women and children would benefit too.

“It will be a way for these youth to tap into their own potential, giving them the ability to generate income.”

The Vacoko Poultry Project, which is funded by the Embassy of Japan to Fiji, is worth FJD 41,142.00.

Also present was the Embassy of Japan First Secretary Development Co-operation, Mr Taisuke Iwano and Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) Coordinator, Ms Junko Yasuda.
