More than a year later, the Ministry of Education has finally received the report of the fire that broke out at Vatuwaqa Primary School.

The fire happened on December 12, 2022.

The ministry had to pay the fee that was required by the National Fire Authority (NFA) before it could release the report.

Education Minister Aseri Radrodro confirmed that this was paid this week.

NFA chief executive officer Puamau Sowane said the fire report was completed a long time ago.

“The process is anyone that wants to get the fire report from us has to pay a fee and get the report immediately,” Mr Sowane said.

He added the report was also made available to the police.
