Discussions are ongoing between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation to ensure Fiji has access to medications and vaccines needed to treat Monkeypox should there be an outbreak of cases here.
According to the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong, the ministry was also in discussions with its reference laboratory in Melbourne to ensure access to definitive tests.
